"lf you're looking for what may possibly be thc ODDEST band in the country, don't go to New York, Los Angeles, Seattle, or even Austin. My pick for STRANGEST band at the moment can be found in none other than SAVANNAH, GEORGIA! They're callcd GAM, and they've turned out to be one of the biggest rushes of the year. The lead singer has more stage presence than just about anyone around. Dressed to the hilt in some really crazy outfits, these guys were a visual delight and the performance was dazzling. These guys are NOT a gimmick band, though. GAM are almost totally unpredictable, and through two hours of original music, I did not hear one song I didn't like. This is the best band I've ever seen or heard come out of Georgia. They're AMAZING."

"I lovcd your act, and I'd sign you in a minute, but we're owncd by Disney. The Baptists would have a field day over this."

-Cathleen Murphy (A & R, Hollywood Records)

"For those in-thc-know regarding Savannah's own "Downtown" music sccnc, GAM brings to mind a panopaly of vivid imargcs. Performance art, rock (and oh, how real their rock is), The Philadelphia Experiment, Metal Machine Music, and the lure of easy money are but a lew of the angles GAM uses against its audience. Their hypnotic blend of bombastic Prog-roll mixed with their risk taking and often times theatrica1 stage show have garnered a devout legion of fans.

-Gordon Cole, Diversions Magarine

Possibly thc bcst live band l've ever seen. Savannah, GA's GAM is a band that you have to experiencc to appreciate. I could try to describe thcm, but I'd never be able to gct the mcssage across...but hey, I'II try anywJy. This band plays psychedelic, acid-drenched rock music that slicks in your head like glue-and every one of their perlormances has left me feeling likc I've been on heavy, heavy drugs. Though still virtually unknown, this band plays with enough passion and energy to be filling big, big concert halls. This was thc best show I've seen thcm play, and that's saying a lot, since every show has been a complete knock-out. Get the CD. See them live. I don't know how they do it, but GAM keeps getting bettcr and better."

-Stephen Fievet, LMNOP

"Looking at this band you would swear you were seeing Iggy (Pop) wilhout all the years of self-abuse. Listening, you'll realize that they're his immensely talented grandchildren.

-Fay Gahetty, Creafive Loaling (Atlanta)

"That's thc scariest Goddamn thing I've ever seen."

-Michael Stipe (alterna-rock legend/noted music pundit)

"This band almost defics categorization. One nlinute they're country, one minute they're heavy metal, and the next thing you know thcy're playing straight ahead rock and roll. But whatever they do, they do it well. During a GAM show virtually anything can and does happen. Accidents become a part of the show. Audience members yell things at the band that become lyrics to songs. Bandmembers jump off the stage and dance with total strangers. Spontaneity is a key part of where this band is coming from, and perhaps why they come off so fresh, different and funny. At one point during the show, GAM's lead singer started chasing an audience member around thc club with a rake! Incredible songs, incredible musicians, unlike many bands that simply stand up and play, this one really puts on a performance. Two friends who joined me for the conccrt had never heard ol GAM before. They left as total converts. Get in on the ground floor and check these folks out, I can almost guarantee that you will not be disappointed."

"GAM's my new favorite band."

-Jeff Clark (jaded rod< critic/D.J. 99X Radio, Atlanta)

Savannah, GA's GAM has been reeling in gushing reviews for its wild shows throughout the South in recent months. The quartet's music employs a few sci-fi props, an odd dose of fusion music, a blast of punk pride and some surprisingly eclectic roots-music ideas. Catch what all the fuss is about.

-Kristen Helmuth, The Lexington-Observer

Thc GAM faithful may increase in number with the release of Phase 8, the band's first full-length CD. While their first release (1995's Thundcr Bomb) was a twenty-one minute EP recorded quickly with an earlier lineup, Phase 8 comes much closer to capturing the band's explosively diverse live sound. A dense and eclectic record which holds up surprisingly well over repeated listenings, Phase 8 simultaneously presents GAM as a mature and accomplished unit, while offering tantalizing glimpses of much grander things to come."

-Jim Reed, Creative Loafing (Savannah)

"You guys kicked my ass."
